Standard Rooms at Franschhoek Country House

The Standard Rooms are found in the original manor house, which dates back to 1890. Each one has been gently restored to keep its original charm, with just the right touches added for a comfortable and easy stay.

The rooms are around 35 square metres, with a small sitting area, a private balcony, and an en-suite bathroom that includes both a bath and shower. Guests can choose a queen or twin bed, and also have access to the shared guest lounge – a quiet space to unwind, often with a small glass of sherry waiting.

Luxury Rooms at Franschhoek Country House

The Luxury Rooms are set slightly apart from the main house and offer a stay that’s both comfortable and more spacious. They include all the key features of the Standard Rooms, with the addition of a larger floor plan – around 48 square metres – and a separate lounge area ideal for relaxing or reading.

Guests can choose between a king or twin bed, and most rooms open onto a patio or balcony with views of the fountains and surrounding gardens. With their mix of privacy and room to breathe, these suites are ideal for anyone in search of rest and simplicity.

Garden Cottages at Franschhoek Country House

The Garden Cottages span two levels and give you about 60 square metres to make yourself at home.

Downstairs, there’s a bedroom with a queen bed, a bathroom with twin basins, and doors that open onto a quiet garden patio.
Upstairs, the lounge leads out to a balcony with vineyard views – a peaceful space for reading or a slow morning coffee.

There’s also a fold-out bed in the lounge, making this a simple and flexible option for small families who’d like their own space.

Villa Suites at Franschhoek Country House

The Villa Suites are the most spacious option on the property, offering around 100 square metres of quiet, easy luxury.
Each one includes a king or twin bed, a separate lounge, and a bathroom with double basins. There are also two balconies or patios, each with loungers – a peaceful spot to read, nap, or take in the view.

You’ll also find a full entertainment setup, and individual climate control in both the lounge and bedroom, so you can settle in just the way you like.
